Why We Like This
Blocks are a great learning tool. First they teach children about letters and numbers. And while they may not fully understand the function of the alphabet, the ability to recognize letters and number will serve them as they grow. Second, blocks are great for dexterity and coordination. Holding onto blocks, putting them in a bag, counting them or making patterns help to secure a solid foundation. And third, blocks encourage building and constructing. Children learn how to build from their imagination (and also how to knock down their big constructs) and how to build upon already established ideas and constructs.
